My favorite time of the year hands down is getting down at a Tennessee farm most call Bonnaroo. It has provided my most special moments but unfortunately me going this year would have been a stretch as I am no longer a stones through from Manchester, TN. Exscuses were made, and I did not attend- a blunder that none other than Kid Cudi rubbed in my face. After being arrested earlier that morning in NYC, Cudi still made the trip down south to kill it. Salting my wounds....

Knowing what I was missing this weekend, I persistently longed for somethings to fill such a void. Luckily my search was not fruitless. Saturday I saw some patriotism- not your political bumpersticker patriotism but the real thing. The US-England World Cup match could prove to be part of a revolutionizing moment for how America feels about International soccer. It may have taken heckling from across the pond to get the blood flowing but something about Saturday felt different and I hope its here to stay. Soccer is the worlds game in which we refuse to honor with our valiant competition. It may be a number of years but soon a LeBron-like specimen will be born with a soccer ball in hand: and then its game over. Hopefully we will have a good World Cup showing to propel this process. But even if not- surely Americans are too prideful to watch our Red, White and Blue lose at any playing field so epic in nature time after time.

And now for something completely different. Jay-Z is a legend, if your not with it now- in time you'll see it.  and i dont even care if yall dont feel it, i love this video
